Sign language is used for more than communicating with people who are deaf. It is used with people who are nonverbal as well. It is even used as a reinforcement to encourage speaking. Take 15 minutes and learn 20 basic phrases for beginners. Just click on the image.
Too often people with disabilities are ignored because others are not sure how to communicate with them. As a result, they often feel invisible. Click on the 10 Tips for a handy guide of suggestions.

Three winners! It was a tough decision for our judge, Zach DeBoer, a local artist. So he chose three. Clockwise starting with the upper left is "Wind" by Char for best abstract, "Bear" by Derek for best representation, and "Puzzle" by Josh for best use of color.

The Trial of Goldilocks was a raving success! Our thanks to the Black Hills Playhouse for helping us present another great play to another standing room only house.
