Between sundown and sunrise, July has brought us all kinds of magic. The breathtaking sunsets and sunrises have sandwiched the drama of thunderstorms, a super moon, and those beloved fireflies. They have kept us on our toes, entertained, and appreciative of the cool darkness. The cost for nature's shows is nothing more than maybe losing a little shuteye. We hope you are enjoying nature's shows.
Summertime Blues? Not Here!
The summer has been a whirlwind of activities. We have had days that have been too hot to do anything but stay indoors but for the most part we are enjoying typical summertime fun.
How does our list compare with yours?
This year's gardens at Longfellow Center contain numerous varieties of vegetables and herbs. Several homes have been enjoying the greens and will soon have peppers, tomatoes, and squash. All of them are thriving! (The flowers look great, too.)
An Uplifting Experience
Michael Bankowski, CEO of Lite Run, came to Longfellow Center to demonstrate his company's anti-gravity air pressure suit paired with a proprietary walker. The machine is new and will help facilities better offer physical therapy options. Emily was asked to help demonstrate the machine with him. Special pants were put on her that were then filled with air pressure. Then the machine took over lifting her.
Emily shared her experience after. "After so many years I was able to stand and walk. I immediately started crying!"
